Under law, compensation is defined as a recompense for loss. If you suffer an injury, either physical or psychological as the result of an accident that was not your fault, then you may be able to claim a financial award to cover any loss of income, the cost of medical bills, or any other costs that you have incurred as a result of the injury or accident that you would not normally have incurred. What sort of compensation you receive and the amount can vary greatly depending on the severity of the injury, how it was incurred, and the proportion of blame. Here, in the Compensation Resource Centre, you will find a wealth of useful independent information and advice on all aspects of compensation, including all major forms of compensation, the process of pursuing a compensation claim, and typical awards for successful claims.
