You'll need to take a careful look at each of the tariffs offered by the network providers in order to work out which will give you the best value for money. Spending more on your monthly call-plan will usually give you more inclusive minutes.

For example, a £15 monthly plan may give you 25 inclusive minutes, with a charge of 15p per minute for all landline calls over this amount. However, the next plan up at £20 may give you 75 inclusive minutes. These extra 50 minutes will have cost you £5 - just 10p per minute.

Pay As You Go prices often vary depending on the time you spend on the phone. For example, you may be charged 25p a minute for the first three minutes calling for any one day, and then 2p a minute for any calls made during the rest of that day.

The table below shows you some examples of contract and Pay As You Go prices across the networks. You can clearly see how much the cost per minute varies depending on the contract package you choose. The lowest prices per minute are usually for the most expensive packages; for example a package costing £75 may give you 2,000 inclusive minutes - just 4p a minute.
