Biography

Born: Walter Bruce Willis on 19 March 1955, in Idar-Oberstein, Germany (US Military Base).

Bruce Willis is a Golden Globe- and double Emmy-winning German-born American actor and singer. He came to fame in the late 1980s and has since retained a career as both a Hollywood leading man and a supporting actor, in particular for his role as John McClane in the Die Hard series (1988-2007).

Willis has released several albums and has appeared in several television shows, such as Moonlighting (1985-1989), Friends (2000) and That 70's Show (2005). He has also starred in over sixty films, including Pulp Fiction (1994), The Fifth Element (1997), The Sixth Sense (1999), Sin City (2005) and Lucky Number Slevin (2006).

Motion pictures that feature him as a leading actor or supporting co-star, have grossed a total of $2.55 to $3.04 billion at the North American box office, placing him as the sixth (as strictly lead) or the eighth highest-grossing movie star (counting supporting roles) of all time.

Willis was married to actress Demi Moore and they had three daughters before their divorce in 2000 after thirteen years of marriage.
