Private Medical Insurance

by Edward Smith

Over the years, as NHS waiting listings have lengthened, the demand for private medical care has increased. Although medical treatment can be expensive, financial provision for private treatments can be made by means of a Private Medical Insurance (PMI) policy.

If you don't feel that you can afford PMI cover, then a hospital cash fund may be a better choice. For a low monthly premium, you will be reimbursed for treatment from your dentist or optician, and you will receive a lump sum for any hospital visit; whether you are treated privately or on the NHS.
