- Pepperpot soup (salt pork, salt beef, okra and kale)
- Salt fish (dried cod) with ackee (the cooked fruit of the ackee tree)
- 'Rice and peas' (rice with kidney beans, coconut milk and spring onions)
Jamaican rum is world-renowned, especially Gold Label. Red Stripe beer is excellent, as is Tia Maria (a coffee and chocolate liqueur).
