If you already have a standard keyboard and are wondering what kind of peripherals you might be able to add to it, then look no further. One of the most common devices you might find is a wrist support. These act to cushion your wrists and keep them straight while typing to prevent repetitive strain injury.
Keyboard maintenance is another important factor that you should keep in mind. Ideally, drinking and eating around your computer is not a good thing and the keyboard will often get covered in crumbs and dirt. You can combat this with keyboard covers, or by purchasing mini keyboard cleaning devices. A good cheap alternative to a keyboard cover is a Bar Towel which should fit almost perfectly over most keyboards.
In order to remove crumbs, either use a mini-vacuum cleaner or take the keyboard outside and turn it upside down and shake it. You can unscrew some keyboards and clean them ... just remember where all the keys go back!
