Connectivity with the PlayStation Portable

The PLAYSTATION 3 and PlayStation Portable (PSP) can connect to share content and unlock features. The Remote Play feature can be used to display a PS3 system screen on a PSP system; the user can then operate the game or view content remotely on the PSP using the PS3's wireless network feature.

The PlayStation Portable can connect in other ways; for example, in the racing game Formula One 06, the PSP can be used as a real-time rear-view mirror, whilst the main action takes place on the PS3 screen. In addition, PlayStation 1 games can be downloaded to the PLAYSTATION 3 from the PlayStation Store, where they can then be sent and played on the PSP, using its emulator feature.
