Nintendo Game Boy Light

In 1997, Nintendo released the Game Boy Light in Japan; a smaller, lighter console that required fewer batteries than the original Game Boy system. The unit required 2 AA batteries, rather than the 4 needed for the original version, which gave it approximately 20 hours with the screen light off, and 12 with it on.
