The Game Wave Family Entertainment System is a hybrid video game console and DVD player manufactured by Canadian based company, ZAPiT Games. The console is aimed at a family-friendly market, and allows up to four users to play at once using the wireless controllers. Unlike other game consoles such as the PS2 or Xbox 360, the majority of DVD-ROM Game Wave titles are either trivia based or video versions of more traditional games, such as Blackjack or Scrabble. The Game Wave is currently only available in the US and Canada at a cost of approximately US$100.
