XGP

The XGP (Extreme Game Player) is a portable video game system created by the Korean company GamePark as the successor to the GP32 handheld. Another follow-up to the GP32 (the GP2X) was released by GamePark Holdings, a separate company that split off from GamePark in early 2005.

The XGP is scheduled to be released in three models; the XGP the XGP Mini and the XGP Kids. The high-end XGP will be a 3D handheld similar to the PlayStation Portable, designed for commercial games, but also promising the same open-source Linux architecture as the GP2X, whilst also supporting Windows CE. It will also offer the same stored-content features of the GP2X, whilst integrating advanced live-content features such as T-DMB mobile television and Wi-Fi. In comparison, the XGP Kids is aimed towards children designed to run simpler games tailored to an younger audience.
