Nintendo DS Lite

The Nintendo DS Lite (also known as the NDSL, DSL or DSLite) is a dual-screen handheld game console released in Japan in March 2006, and in Europe, Australasia, North America and China (where it is known as the iQue DS Lite) the following June. The console is a lightweight, slim, sleek version of the Nintendo DS with a brighter screen. The unit immediately became very popular, selling over 200,000 consoles across Europe within the just the first 10 days of release, and over 9 million units worldwide by September 2006.

By the end of January 2007, it had been reported that 10 Million units (both original and Lite) had been sold in Europe alone, making it the fastest selling handheld and video gaming device in the region to date.
