PC Game Console

The PC game console is a command line system where the game's variables and settings can be edited. It may normally be accessed by pressing the backtick key (`) or the tilde (~) key; normally located below the ESC key on a QWERTY keyboard. However, in some cases, it may not be accessed unless a command is added to one of the games configuration files or to the shortcut line.

Once accessed, the console may often be used to type in commands to activate cheats; for example:

Code Action
AddItem "X" [Number] Adds [Number] amount of a specific item (X) to the player's inventory.
AllAmmo Gives the player maximum ammo.
Kill or Suicide Causes the player to die, used when a player gets stuck during a game.
ToggleGodMode Makes the player invulnerable.
