Worcester

A thermally hot wine region located inland from Cape Town. Worcester has extensive areas under vineyard cultivation, producing around 25% of the national crop, with production dominated by several large cooperatives. Much of the output is used for distillation and fortification, with the town of Worcester home to the KWV Brandy Cellar - the largest of its kind in the world. However, there are also a number of popular everyday drinking white wines made here from Colombard and Chenin Blanc.
