Fizzes

A Fizz is a long drink, somewhat similar to a Collins. However the base ingredients (liquor, along with other additions such as lime juice or lemon juice) are shaken with half a glassful of ice and poured unstrained into a frosted glass before adding soda or other sparkling drink. This ensures that the effervescence of the soda is not inhibited. It is then served with a straw and swizzle stick, and is perfect for a summer morning or midday drink.
