Site: 2 campuses in Bolton town centre.

How to get there: Town easily reached by road and rail (10 miles north of Manchester). Campuses are 10 minutes' walk from bus and train stations.

Length of courses: 2-5 years full-timel sandwich.

Library & information services: 171,000 books, 2600 journals and related materials together with CD-Roms, video cassettes, microfilms, microfiches, audiocassettes; online access to major bibliographic and information databases. Annual expenditure on information provision, £97 per (FTE) student. 548 points with access to library and internee ratio workstations to students 1:10; IT facilities open 24 hours/day. Library and IT support from computer information officers. 1-hour introduction to library and information services for all new students.

Study abroad: Exchanges abroad for students on some degree courses.
