What is Climate?

Climate is the average of weather over a long period of time (generally accepted as taken over a 30 year time period) and for a particular region.

A simple way of remembering the difference is that climate is what you expect (e.g. cold winters) and 'weather' is what you actually get (e.g. a blizzard).
