Weather Observation

Weather observation is one of the most important parts of meteorology. Without accurate and reproducable observations recording, the forecasting of weather is almost impossible.

Traditionally observations have been made by individuals from ground level, however in recent times additional observation techniques such as satellite imagery and extensive automation of existing techniques mean that weather observation, and therefore forecasts, have never been so accurate and timely.
