Control Panels

An online control panel is a web interface to allow quick and easy access to a wide variety of features your web host supports. Many control panels offer a user friendly GUI (graphical user interface) that grants access to email management, web site stats and log files, database administration, script management and more. There are a large variety of control panels, and some hosts will have control panels that they have developed inhouse (such as 1and1 or Fasthosts) but there are three main control panels that you are likely to find with dedicated servers: CPanel, Ensim, and Plesk. In fact nearly all good shared and dedicated hosting packages will come with one of these control panels installed.
