Spanish Salami

Chorizo

A cured or smoked sausage made from coarsely chopped fatty pork and seasoned with chilli, garlic and paprika. It may be found as either picante (hot) or dulce (sweet). Spanish chorizo may be sliced or diced and eaten raw in sandwiches or salads, or it may be added to other dishes during the cooking process.

It is important to bear in mind that the Spanish chorizo is different from the Mexican chorizo, which made from fresh pork and must be cooked before eating.

Salsicha

Salsicha is a Spanish salami made of finely chopped pork, pork fat and whole white peppercorns and usually served as a snack.
