Colanders

A colander is a type of sieve used in cooking to separate liquids and solids, and may be used for tasks such as draining pasta or washing fruit and vegetables. It is usually made of a light metal, such as aluminium, laced with a pattern of holes to allow the liquid to drain through.

When choosing a colander, pick the roomiest you can find so that when you are washing fruit, vegetables or salad greens there is plenty of space to move them around.
