The higher education qualifications awarded by universities and colleges in England, Wales and Northern Ireland are at five levels; three of which are undergraduate and two are postgraduate. In ascending order, these are:

Foundation degrees, ordinary (Bachelor's) degrees, Diplomas of Higher Education and other higher diplomas - Honours Level
Bachelor's degrees with Honours, Graduate Certificates and Graduate Diplomas - Masters Level
Master's degrees, Postgraduate Certificates and Postgraduate Diplomas - Doctoral Level
