Key Stage 4

At around age 14, your child will need to make choices for study during Years 10 and 11 (Key Stage 4). They will have to make a decision about the subjects they take and the type of qualification they want to aim for. As they make these choices, they will also need to think about the steps they will take after Year 11: will they go on to advanced level study, training or work?

In this section, we take a look at the range of subjects your child can choose for Key Stage 4, along with the qualifications they can achieve. There is also a guide to the choices they can make at 16, after they have completed KS4.
