Atlases

An atlas is a collection of maps, generally bound into book form but may also be found in multimedia formats, such as a CD-ROM. As well as including information about geographic features and political boundaries, many often feature geopolitical, social, religious and economic statistics. World atlases can vary greatly in size and comprehensiveness, ranging from pocket world atlases to immense books that need a full sized table to support them when they are open.
