Leading Questions

A leading question is one where the interviewer steers you to a particular answer. This may be because it is the one they expect to hear from you, or it may be because they want you to disagree with the suggestion in order to hear your point of view. Think carefully before answering.

  • "Oh, I know your current manager; he's very difficult to work with isn't he?"
  • "I think it's important that employees aren't required to work out of hours - don't you agree?"
