Investment Banks

An investment bank is a securities firm, financial company or brokerage house that provides a number of financial services, the most common of which is the purchase of new issues of securities from private corporations.

The investment bank will then form a syndicate to sell these securities to their customers and the general public. Generally they do not offer specific personal or business banking services to the general public.
