Online Banking Security

Access to online banking services is generally considered very secure, as it is in the bank's interest, both commercially and from a marketing point of view to ensure that access is secure.

The most common forms of security used is a combination of a supplied special access number, some personal information and a special password or pin code that is either provided by the bank or created by you.

Some online business banking services use an enhanced form of security called a Site Certificate, a special piece of code that you obtain from the bank and install on your computer. This code or token is then used to authorise access to the online account once you have logged in using your username and password.
