Any offshore company will need to have at least one director. This can be the person who sets up the offshore company, however it may be expedient to appoint a nominee director of the offshore company. The nominee director has no actual knowledge of the company's affairs or accounts and cannot control or influence the company without the founder's permission. The nominee director is usually a person resident in the country in which the IBC is founded in and who acts under the instructions of the IBC's founder.
In this instance you will be able to pay a negotiated fee to the nominee director for their time and effort acting on your behalf.
