APU Cambridge
Cambridge is without doubt one of Britain's most picturesque cities. An historic centre for learning and an excellent place to study. It is easy to reach by bus and rail and is only 25 minutes from Stansted airport. There is a library on campus, but access to Cambridge University's library can also be arranged. Competition between the city's two universities manifests itself mainly in sport, with APU performing well in local football, hockey, rowing, cricket and rugby leagues. There is a well-developed and strong Students' Union ensuring that student entertainment and welfare issues, among other things are never forgotten. There is a wide range of courses catered for at APU; that and the new building make for exciting times!
APU Chelmsford
It's in the heart of the county town of Essex; good rail links, with frequent trains going to and from London and Ipswich. It's divided between 2 campuses. Rivermead Campus houses the schools of business and education; also the library, a small basketball court and the halls of residence. It is currently being enlarged with a new sports hall, bar and refectory, and several other new buildings. Central Campus houses nursing & midwifery, design & communications systems, law and social work. It also has a gym, sports hall and copying facilities and the Students' Union office and advice service. SU is run by 6 full-time sabbatical officers and 12 part-time. It represents the students to the university, local council and the wider public and runs both a bar and cafe on campus. Demand for university halls is high, so apply early. There is housing widely available in Chelmsford; however, distance from campuses varies greatly.
