Bath University - Student View

It's perched on top of Claverton Down, boasting spectacular views of the city and surrounding countryside. But the university is far from being just a pretty face. Since receiving its royal charter (1966). it has gone from strength to strength, proving itself to be one of the finest universities and secured its place among graduate employers. But there is much more on offer than just a degree. The SU has around 100 different societies, ranging from Gravity Vomit (Juggling Society) to award-winning student newspaper, Impact.

There are also 50 sports clubs - rock climbing, hot air ballooning, fencing and football to name but a few. And with the new sports training village, all students have the opportunity to train alongside olympic athletes in a truly state-of-the-art facility.

Pace of life is refreshingly unhurried, but when you feel the need to liven things up a bit (as students do pretty much every night), there is plenty on offer to suit all but the most outlandish tastes. The newly-launched SU club on campus, Elements, has a variety of different nights on every week, and regular live bands. With two student bars as well, it is hard to find a reason ever to leave campus!
