Basement bar on George Street this is a fashionable bar with a good cocktail menu, and knowledgeable bar staff. Good food in the day, at night playing R&B and hip hop. Best nights are Friday and Saturday where the crowds pack in to the candy bar to sample some of the 50 cocktails which are stirred, shaken or built for players. Candy Bar has been open since July 2002, but the management make a big effort to make the bar look new by regular re-decoration. Good mixture of people and rammed most nights of the week, busy during term time and obscene during Edinburgh festival when the bar gets a late license to 3am.
