As its title would suggest, the chronological CV lists positions by date, beginning with the most recent. This format gives your most recent job the most space and emphasis. It highlights your recent experience, rather than past history, and shows a progression in responsibility. Each job listing should show the company name and location, dates of employment, job title, main responsibilities and key achievements.
The advantages of this format is that it can emphasise the continuity and the way your career has grown gradually and progressively over time. However, in today's market people often change jobs quickly which has lead to the chronological C.V. becoming increasingly less useful. Listing seven or eight recent employers can make you look flighty and unreliable.
