Event Charts can be set up for almost any event - personal, practical or political. They are particularly appropriate for special occasions such as weddings, new relationships, moving house or starting a new job.
It is important when creating an event chart to note the time of the start of the occasion and treat it just like a person's birth time. Planned events such as weddings have a definite start time but others have less easily definable moments of birth, and a number of charts may have to be erected.
When analyzing event charts, things to look out for are:
- Fixed angles (fixed signs on the cusps of the first, fourth, seventh, and tenth houses) which denote stability and reliability.
- Well aspected planets, which produce a benign effect.
- Planets falling in the same position as the subject's personal birthchart, which demonstrate that the occasion is important to them.
- Events relating to money can be discovered through the second house.
- A house move needs examination of the fourth house.
- Weddings require study of the seventh house of relationships,
- An easy chart with Fixed angles should yield a beneficial effect and a difficult chart with Mutable angles could lead to problems.
