The cycle of Mars is variable, taking from six weeks up to six months to traverse one sign. The energy from this planet is powerful and vibrant, bringing us the bravery to defend our personal worth and is expressed through the sex drive. Through Mars we initiate action; and claim our rights, and in fact a deficiency of Mars can produce a doormat personality, someone who cannot defend themselves.

Martial people love a challenge, and are unafraid of energetic, even dangerous, confrontation, but too much Mars can make them contentious, argumentative, confrontational and violent.
