The first things to consider are:

• the size of wedding that you want
• how much you can afford to spend
• whether you want a religious or civil ceremony
• the date and the time of day that you wish to marry
• the general style of the wedding - formal or informal; traditional or something that little bit different, like a historical theme?

Once you've made these key decisions, you can then start on the fun stuff - choosing your dress, flowers, cake, and even your confetti!
