In-Character Role-Playing (IC)

A term used in online gaming when a player takes on the role of their character and acts it out by staying 'in character'. This usually involves dialogue (chat) that reflects the character's situation and does not reveal the player behind the character.

See also Out-Of-Character (OOC).
