Abortion

Also known as a Termination.

The termination of a pregnancy, which can occur because of natural causes (known as spontaneous abortion or miscarriage) or it may be artificially induced by chemical or surgical means. In the UK, abortion is legal up to the 24th week of pregnancy; however, the majority of abortions are carried out before the 12th week of pregnancy.
