Tourer

Historically, this was a term used to describe an open car with seats for four or more passengers, and used up until about 1930. There was no side weather protection on early models, but later versions were fitted with detachable side screens and curtains.

The term is now used by various car manufacturers for estate cars that are more focused on style than space. The name is most commonly used by Renault, BMW and Honda. For example, BMW 3 Series Touring.
