Torque Steer

An effect common in front wheel drive cars in which the torque affects the steering to make the wheels turn form side to side under heavy acceleration. This is due to the reaction forces created in the half-shafts generating uneven steering forces in the front tyres. The effect may be prevented by using double wishbone suspension or advanced multi-link suspension systems.
