Dealing With Pests

Some pests are health hazards - rats, mice, and cockroaches carry and spread disease. Others inflict painful bites and stings. Many, such as silverfish, are harmless. Any infestation is an unwelcome invasion, but pests get into the cleanest homes. There are three options: DIY treatment, help from the local Environmental Health department, or calling in private specialists. Take precautions to deter pests.
