Space Frame

A lightweight, rigid structure made using short, small-diameter tubes. These tubes are welded together in am interlocking triangular pattern that transmits flexing loads as tension and compression loads along the length of each strut.

Space frames are used in the production of a number of modern vehicle bodies; and in fact, NASCAR race cars are exclusively built from space frame construction.
