Satellite Navigation

Also known as SatNav.

A system which uses a GPS data receiver and a CPU/display unit to determine the vehicle's exact location and then direct the driver to their chosen destination. A CD, DVD or memory card contains mapping data to display the route. The system may also be used to guide drivers around traffic jams or warn them about the locations of fixed safety camera.
