Tyres, Pneumatic

An air filled tyre used almost universally for all vehicles. Pneumatic tyres consist of a flexible elastomer material such as rubber or synthetic rubber, with reinforcing steel threads or wires inside the elastomer material. The air contained in the tyre compresses as the wheel goes over a bump and acts as a shock absorber.
