MOT Certificate

The Ministry Of Transport roadworthiness certificate.

This certificate demonstrates that a vehicle has passed an annual roadworthiness check called the MOT test. Every vehicle over the age of 3 must hold a valid MOT certificate in order to be allowed on the road, obtain insurance or apply for a road tax disc. The system is run by the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency and is designed to ensure that vehicles meet legal standards of mechanical safety and comply with emissions regulations.
