Low Ratio Gearbox

A secondary gearbox that takes drive from the normal gearbox and lowers the gear ratios so the road wheels turn more slowly than in normal use, giving greater traction when driving off-road or climbing steep terrain. The low ratio gearbox is normally worked by a second, smaller lever next to the usual gearlever to select or deselect low ratio.
