Green Card

An international motor insurance certificate used in and around Europe to enable people to drive across Europe without having to arrange insurance in each separate country.

Although the Green Card is not a legal requirement, it is recommended for anyone driving their own car in Europe. It can be obtained from the driver's own insurers and is equivalent to car insurance in any one of the 43 member countries.
