Aspect Ratio

Generally used as a term to describe the ratio between the unloaded sidewall height of a tyre divided by its overall width. Thus a tyre with a low aspect ratio would be a shorter, wider tyre than one with a higher ratio.

Lower aspect ratios provide superior handling, but at the cost of increased ride harshness.
