Italian Garlic Dip (Bagna Cauda)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves finely chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoons double cream
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the olive oil and butter. Season with black pepper. Heat until butter melts, then add garlic. Cook until garlic has softened but not browned.
  2. Remove from heat, and stir in cream. Serve warm.
