In this section, we take a look at the range of gardening tasks to be carried out in every part of the garden throughout the year. Rather than break this down month-by-month, we have grouped activities into seasons. Gardening is not a precise art that follows rigid guidelines; variations in climate, aspect and soil type will affect how plants will grow, and hence the time when sowing, planting and other tasks may be carried out.
