CD-MP3 Player

by Edward Smith

As the name suggests, these usually play both CDs and MP3 files contained on CD. These players differ in price and feature range. Most of these have an LCD display that allows you to navigate through directories (folders) on an MP3 data CD, like you would on a computer. This is an advantage because it means you can keep individual artists or albums separate, and navigate to them more easily than you would be able to on a selection of audio CDs or a flat-directory system. Most models also read ID3 tags - a label built into a given MP3 file that lists the artist, track name, album title, year of recording and other information, ready to be viewed via the LCD display or on your computer.
