Pension Credit

Pension Credit is an entitlement on top of your State Pension if you are aged 60 or over. It guarantees everyone aged 60 or over a minimum income of at least £102.10 a week for people who are single, and £155.80 a week if you have a partner. As a new measure, people aged 65 and over will be rewarded for having savings and income for their retirement by giving money to those who have savings. Up to £14.79 a week is available if you are single and £19.20 a week if you have a partner.

Pension Credit applies only for those people aged 60 an over, however the age of your partner doesn't matter. A partner includes your husband or wife, or a person with whom you live with as if you are married.
